Indira Gandhi Memorial Academy was founded on 22nd April, 2007 by Late Shri Shyam Deo Rai, with a dream to uproot illiteracy.
In 2007 we had only ground floor with lesser number of class rooms, but today we feel blessed to say that we have a well infrastructure with best facilities.

It gives me a great pleasure to welcome the students and guardians.
It is also a matter of great pride for me to be a part of the school education system, which has helped mould the lives of thousand of children across the globe.
Education, at Inditra Gandhi Memorial Academy, Uttarpara, would not just be confined to accumulation of knowledge. Knowledge at IGMA would be supplemented by direction, and that, would be provided by the selected ambassadors of education, who can make a positive difference in molding young mind towards achieving global goals.
Our students should also be the owner of an unstained conscience that will lead them towards achieving knowledge and fearlessness. The knowledge will give them the ability to discern good and evil. fearlessness will instill in them the urge to use the knowledge to unveil the mysteries of life.
It would be our sincere effort to make Indira Gandhi Memorial Academy at Uttarpara, a landmark in the field of education in the country in general, and WEST BENGAL in particular.
